Contact Robert
Robert is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with more than 45 years’ experience in the management of multi-currency portfolios for institutional and private clients located around the globe. He received an MBA from George Washington University in 1980.
Prior to establishing BIAS in 1991, Mr. Pires was employed in London by Mercury Asset Management, now part of BlackRock, Inc., as a senior portfolio manager responsible for multi-currency global fixed income portfolios managed on behalf of pension funds, central banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, and high asset value individuals. Mr. Pires’ experience includes managing the investments of the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) as well as mutual funds and segregated portfolios for both the Bank of Bermuda and Butterfield Bank.
Throughout his career, he has served as director on the boards of companies based in Europe, South America, the Caribbean, as well as Bermuda.
Contact Ingela
Ingela is the team leader of BIAS’ Portfolio Management Group as well as being the Portfolio Manager responsible for discretionary fixed income portfolios including the BIAS Short Duration Income Fund as well as captive insurance fixed income portfolios.
With 20+ years of experience in the investment industry, Ingela started her career working with currency and interest-rate derivatives at the back-office of Svenska Handelsbanken’s trading floor in Stockholm. After only one year, she was recruited to the same bank’s asset management’s fixed income team where she worked with institutional clients, insurance companies and mutual funds for 7 years prior to joining BIAS where she has worked since 2008.
Ingela earned her Bachelor of Science degree, having majored in Advanced Economics and Statistics, from the University of Örebro in Sweden.

Pradeep comes from a highly commended position of Equity Research Analyst at Ansu Group of Companies in Nepal. He started as an equity research associate at the company in 2018 and quickly worked his way up to become an Analyst in the Equity Research Department. He is well-versed in performing equity research, pitching new stock ideas, developing financial models and advising clients on a broad range of transactions. Prior to working as equity research associate, he worked as junior trainee at a commercial bank in Kathmandu, where he rotated through various departments, including credit and risk management, personalised banking and customer relationships. During his time, he presented solutions for improving investment and operational efficiency. His analytical and decision-making skills adds value to our team and we are pleased to have him as a Portfolio and Research Analyst at BIAS.
Pradeep earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration specialising in Finance and Accounting, from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal. He received his CFA charter in 2021.
Contact Prashant
Prashant has five years of experience working with capital markets and is well acquainted with equity research, financial modelling, as well as, devising investment strategies and recommendations. Before joining BIAS he was an associate in the Portfolio Advisory Department at Bashyal and Company, an investment consulting firm in Nepal, where he was responsible for guiding retail and institutional clients to achieve optimal portfolio allocations. Additionally, he also worked closely with the Nepalese regulatory authorities and government agencies and assisted them in reforming their policies. We are confident that his analytical and financial modeling skills adds value to our team.
Prashant holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) degree from Kathmandu University in Nepal. He received his CFA charter in 2023
